Tracy Whitney used to be an innocent woman once and she was never in favor of using her skills in the wrong way. She liked loving other human beings present around her, moreover, she thought that she had found love too. Then the circumstances changed for her in If Tomorrow Comes and she brought out a much ruthless side of her personality that she never knew existed in her.
Sidney Sheldon and Tilly Bagshawe don’t give a detailed introduction of the main character at this stage because a lot of time was invested on this in the first part. The payback is complete from Tracy’s side and she has decided to rest for a while.
She wasn’t expecting any sort of an attack from the enemy’s side and here she miscalculates things once again. The enemy wants to show her that who is the real boss in the world of crimes and criminals. Settling with Jeff Stevens was an ideal thing for Tracy and she wanted to have a baby too so that her life becomes picture-perfect.
However, she knows that she has done enough bad deeds over the decade that she might not be able to make her life perfect once again. Then murders start taking place and within a short time, ten people get killed.
All the places where bodies are found were once the targets of Tracy so it means that the killer is after her. The killer wants to get rid of all the allies first before reaching Tracy so it means that Jeff is also in trouble. In Michael Kramer’s voice, we again listen about Tracy as a woman who is desperate to fight for her life and the life of those she loves.
