If you are done with part one of the Generations novel series, then this, Boundless: A Drizzt Novel would be your automatic choice. It is extremely well written by R. A. Salvatore and you will witness connecting dots with the prequel with utmost ease. This as you all know is an epic science fiction fantasy novel with some great story to tell many centuries ago. The narration just like the open book of this series is given by Victor Bevine in his signature style.
Zaknafein is known to be conflicted as always, be it the split between the two worlds and time even. Such a turmoil was enhanced with his considerable position as a male elf, who is part of the matriarchal drow society. It was only his friendship with Jarlaxle and his repute as a finest warrior helped him to be kept as a sane in front of the world. When he perished eventually, he was happy to know that he has left behind him a substantial legacy, which is Drizzt, his son.
However, someone is not at all ready to accept the death of Zaknafein. And he is back again with a bang and that too in the world, which is familiar to him but nobody else recognizes him at all. Things and people close to Drizzt include, dwarfs, elves and the worst of all, his wife as well.
- A. Salvatore as an author is well understood if you explore him well beyond just a single novel for his. If you are in that mood, then you may check out his other splendid pieces of literary work that include, The Crystal Shard and Exile.
Who even writes these moronic teaser blurbs? It’s English even their first language? I hope they aren’t being paid actual money for doing it.
Another stunner from Salvatore, that last chapter blew me away. Epic saga that continues to deliver.
